Hothouse 5 Theatrical Cartoon -National Film Board of Canada -Alternate: The Time I Changed My Mind
Alternate Series Title: The Time I Changed My Mind
This fifth edition of Hothouse brings together 6 promising new talents from across Canada to spend three intensive months working on their first professional film within the filmmaking community at the NFB.
The films range from the poetic to the absurd, using hand-made puppets, pen-drawings, collage, photography and innovative blends of mixed techniques to create six 1-minute films.
Hothouse is about re-imagining ways of making animation, ways that are faster, more flexible, and which embrace the many possibilities in the animation process while maintaining creative and technical excellence. Each year, The National Film Board of Canada seeks submissions from emerging filmmakers (young and not-so-young), and artists intrigued by animation art. Six are chosen as winners.
