Smallfilms Studio Directory
Founded by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin in Firmin's home in Blean near Canterbury, Smallfilms was a production house that focused on puppet animation. The studios biggest hit was The Clangers. As a studio, Smallfilms effectively closed in 1986 with the final series Pinny's House. In October 2008, production company Coolabi acquired the merchandising and distribution rights until 2013 to a number of the Smallfilms productions. Coolabi put Clangers into production for 2015 on BBC, and is looking at bringing back Bagpuss.
